Retaining Condition by Chariji Maharaj

In 1985, One young abhyasi asked Rev. Chariji Maharaj, " will Master help me in retaining the condition..? "

Rev. Chariji Maharaj said, " It is your responsibility. God would give only rain. He would not construct dams or lakes to preserve the water. It is your responsibility.  Similarly the boss would only give salary to you. You have to save money out of it. If you spend it on unnecessary things, it is not his fault. So you have to retain the condition bestowed on you."

On another occasion, when he was asked about Constant Remembrance,  He told that to retain the condition bestowed on you in the sittings,  is Constant Remembrance. It is subtler than mere Remembrance.

However, He cautioned another time," Remembrance of even Ultimate Reality is only a Remembrance and not the Reality Itself.

- Chariji Maharaj

Observation: Master Kamlesh D. Patel has given an extensive talk in July 2015 Bhandara about retaining the condition to all abhyasis. These talks are available in www.sahajmarg.org site.

Purity

To my heart, purity is akin to God.

Taken from the book "Designing Destiny", Chapter "Character and Lifestyle", pg. 4, by Revered Kamleshji

The Sahaj Marg practice of Cleaning can be introduced when one can explain the concept of Purity and how removing impurities and complexities lead to purity and simplicity. Kamlesh D. Patel introduced Cleaning in this very simple way which everyone can understand.

SRCM, Shri Ram Chandra Mission offers this practice of Cleaning to all interested meditation and yoga seekers, which is a very effective approach to keep ourselves pure and simple, and be in touch with our inner selves all the time.

Concentration

"Meditation is the process, and the result is concentration. Now this concentration, by itself, is not of much value in our development because concentration is only the use of a power, and power by itself does not lead to evolution. But it has a positive advantage in our daily life because by meditation, when we are able to make the mind concentrate, we are able to exclude thoughts we don't require or we don't wish to receive."

Designing Destiny

We have to be very careful how we conduct our life, because that is what destiny is all about.

Unfulfilled Desires: Nice idea from Kamlesh D. Patel about Happiness inversely related to Desires

Our Prayer says one fundamental thing: We are yet but slaves of wishes.  As Long as we have these desires and wishes, they will stop us from going further.

Happiness is inversely related to desires. If you have ten desires and five are fulfilled, you have 50% happiness or 50% sadness. Now, anything that you divide by zero becomes infinity. If you have zero desires, your happiness will have a quantum jump and it will become infinite.

We have to realise that having desires is only going to increase our unhappiness and that having zero desires is going to infinitely increase our happiness. In this state, we don’t expect anything.
How do we destroy our condition & our humanity?  As per GITA, when desires are not fulfilled there is disappointment. Disappointment leads to anger, anger makes you lose your balance, and once you lose your balance, your mental equilibrium, you are destroyed and you lose your humanness. We have to be careful of those things.

Whatever we do or even think, or even will through our heart, there are two consequences. Either the results are favourable or not. When the results are favourable, we are at peace. When the results of the actions are against us, we are disturbed. Now when these things are handled properly and when things go right, you feel a lot of peace.

When you have too much fear, you star creating illusions in your mind and that affets your cosmic region. And the cosmic region (the mind) cannot tolerate illusions. When the mind gets disturbed like that, you have lost your humanity, your human traits. So, we should not succumb to these things. We must overcome them as early as possible. Otherwise they spoil our entire existence.

BE COURAGEOUS, BE LOVING, BE PEACEFUL  AND LESS INVITING TO DESIRES. THAT IS THE SAHAJ MARG WAY OF LIFE.

Master Kamlesh D. Patel came up with this beautiful concept of Happiness inversely related to desires. He even did some mathematical equation to make it very easily understandable to all people.

Who can solve personal problems?

If a divorce happens in a Christian family, do they blame Christ?
If a divorce happens in a Hindu family, do they blame Lord Krishna?
If a divorce happens in a Muslim family, do they blame the Prophet?
Personal problems need to be dealt with at the personal level. Nobody can solve our problems except ourselves.

Sahaj Marg is trying to offer to this world a simple Heartfulness meditation practice that promotes individual peace and potentially leading to peace on earth and goodwill among men. Masters of SRCM, Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Lalaji Saheb, Babuji, Chariji, and the current Master Kamlesh D. Patel are working tirelessly for this simple cause with a noble intention.

Go Inside

We should pray from the beginning, when we are happy, when we are healthy, when we are successful, just to balance the outer success and money and whatnot. You must sit in meditation every day so that you go inside and see that all that is worth nothing.

Taken from the book "HeartSpeak 2005", Chapter "Senstivity", pg. 235, by Revered Chariji

Master Kamlesh Patel has also emphasized in the recent bhandara about sensitivity and how we all should try to develop sensitivity and how to maintain the condition that we receive in the satsanghs and meditations that our Masters of Sahaj Marg of Shri Ram Chandra Mission offer us for free.

Karma and Bhakti

Master Kamlesh D. Patel very nicely puts Karma and Bhakti together and how the two go hand in hand and when the work done in that way, it is effective.

Interestingly, Swami Vivekananda has written a book titled Karma-yoga and Bhakti-yoga as shown below.

Lord Buddha about Karma

Karma (As Shri Ram Chandra Mission Master Kamlesh D Patel told it)

Image result for karmaKarma performed with Bhakti is a beautiful and an ennobling state. Having matured in this state it will find its own way and give birth to another state under which we shall be working and this saga goes on. Idea is to excel every time while focussing on the purity of the heart. No point performing any action or indulging in acts that can shrink consciousness and make the conscience questionable. Questionable conscience can convert even a roaring lion into a goat!

Shri. Kamlesh D. Patel talked about how important Karma is in one's life.

According to Wikipedia: Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म; IPA: [ˈkərmə] ( listen); Pali: kamma) means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect)
